Several years back I had the pleasure of meeting Rita and her husband at a FASBO conference. Rita was a wealth of knowledge, but even more so very upbeat, personable and always willing to assist.
My warmest regards for her family and friends.
God bless you all!

It is with deepest sympathy to Rita's dear family and friends that I, too, share in this tremendous loss. Short in stature yet mighty in determination, resiliency, kindness, professionalism and amazing knowledge ... her legacy will live on in the numerous people she mentored and who have learned and been touched by her both personally and professionally. Her FASBO family will eternally be grateful for her leadership and contribution. May you rest in peace dear Rita (and please give my mother and sisters a hug). Much Love, Many Blessings, and Eternal Prayer - gone but never forgotten.

Rita was a strong women, mentor and leader; aside from being a good friend. She passed on her knowledge to everyone through the FASBO organization. She was deeply motivated to provide the best she could to the students of Florida . She did this by organizing, controlling and planning to educate administrators on Florida law and accepted business principles at every opportunity possible. It will hard to think of FASBO without her guiding light.

It was such a great shock when we heard of Rita's passing. We cannot even begin to understand the grief that the family must be experiencing. Gerry and I both feel so sad at her passing. We met both Rita and Steve through Kiwanis and always enjoyed her presence. Rita was always caring and a presence of knowledge and support for the many projects we worked on together. We know that her memory will live on through her children and friends, and we will always have the fondest remembrance of her. God Bless Rita and keep her family strong.

I met Rita when she interviewed for her position as Director of Payroll for the School District of Lee County. Rita had an outgoing personality and embraced all of her work opportunities with a positive spirit.
I am sad that she is no longer with us but I know "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Rest in peace, Rita.
