Richard Dorris, Sr.

Richard Dorris, Sr. age 73, died on December 14, 2023. Richard was the son to Elmer Dorris, Jr. and Annette LaBare, who have succeeded him in passing. His wife, Angelina Dorris also succeeded him in passing. Richard is survived by his four children: Jason Dorris, Amy Wells, Richard Dorris, Jr. and Shane Dorris. Richard also has 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Richard was born January  20th, 1950, in Colombus, GA. After graduating form high school in 1968 he enlisted in the Marines. He fought in the Vietnam War for two years when he was honorably discharged and received a purple. Richard then moved to Florida to start his career in the swimming pool business. He retired from the swimming pool business in 2018. During his retirement he picked up a passion for restoring and renovating the family home that they lived in since 1989. Richard spent his final days surrounded by his loving family. Richard will be remembered by his jokes and humor and his willingness to help those around him. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
